Official Disclaimer

Please note that I am not a medical doctor, teacher of the visually impaired (TVI), Perkins-Roman CVI Range Endorsee, nor a certified therapist of any kind. In short, I’m in no way a CVI professional.

I am a mother of a child with CVI and anything I share through Everyday CVI is intended to serve as a record of our family’s specific strategies to accommodate my daughter’s CVI based on her unique abilities, official CVI Range Score, information and/or recommendations from her medical specialists and therapists, and my own knowledge and creativity. If I use incorrect terminology or phrasing, please forgive me; I’m always learning. It is my hope that in sharing our everyday adaptations and strategies other CVI parents (or CVI professionals) will be inspired with new ideas to tailor and implement their own specific strategies for the children with CVI in their lives.

Nothing shared here should take the place of professional medical and/or educational instructions or advice. I highly encourage all readers to seek out a Perkins-Roman CVI Range Endorsee in order to obtain an accurate CVI Range assessment and use that information in conjunction with recommendations from relevant medical and/or educational professionals in order to design effective CVI strategies for your loved one(s) with CVI.
